Dr. Rejiv Rajendranath

Medical Oncologist
Dr. Rejiv Rajendranath, Consultant Medical Oncologist affiliated with the Integrated Cancer Care Group(ICCG), holds an established medical background beginning with an MBBS degree and an MD in Internal Medicine, earned from Kasturba Medical College (KMC) of Mangalore in 2002. He secured his Doctorate of Medicine(DM) in Medical Oncology in 2007 from the Cancer Institute WIA, Adyar, followed by a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Medical Oncology in 2008. A European Society for Medical Oncology(ESMO)- certified Medical Oncologist, Dr.Rejiv was an esteemed professor and teaching faculty at Cancer Institute Adyar till 2015. His special interests lie in Breast and Gynecologist Oncology, GI and GU Oncology, and Geriatric Oncology. In 2011, He received the Best Doctor Award from TN MGR Medical University, and in 2013, the K S Sanjivi Award for Outstanding Medical Contribution to the Poor and Needy. Dr.Rejiv is an honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist at Southern Railway Headquarters Hospital.
Awards
- Dr. Rejiv received the ‘Dr K. S. Sanjivi Award’ for selfless voluntary service to the underprivileged.
- In August 2011, he was appointed by Dr. MGR Medical University as an Examiner for the DM Super Specialty Medical Oncology Examinations.
- He gained the ‘Best Doctor Award’ from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in recognition of his contributions to the field of Medical Science.
- In February 2011, Dr. Rejiv acquired the ‘Best Paper Award’ at the National Indian Society of Oncology Biennial Meeting in Bhubaneshwar.
- Dr. Rejiv secured the ‘Best Paper Award’ for the paper on “Breast cancer in Young women less than 30 years from Southern India” – ONCOCON 2009
- He was awarded a preceptorship program in CML by the International CML Foundation and spent one month at Royal Adelaide Hospital Australia under Professor Tim Hughes.
